ANZAC DAY  – 25th  April is one of Australia’s most important national occasions. It marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during the First World War. The acronym ANZAC stands for Australian and New Zealand Army Corps, whose soldiers were known as Anzacs.  Each year on 25th April , ANZAC Day in Kanchanaburi , Thailand is commemorated by conducting a Dawn Service  and Gunfire Breakfast  at Hellfire pass and a Memorial Service and Wreath Laying Ceremony  at Kanchanaburi War Cemetery 

ITINERARY : 

Day 1 : April 24th ,  2020 :  Bangkok – Kanchanaburi ( L/D )                            

06.00-06.30hrs. :  You’ll be picked up from your major hotel

09.00hrs. :  Arrive Kanchanaburi province . Visit Thailand–Burma Railway Centre an interactive museum , information and research facility dedicated to presenting the history of the Thailand– Burma Railway. The fully air– conditioned center offers the visitor an educational and moving experience . Visit Allied War Cemetery which is memorial to some 6000 allied prisoners of war (POWs) who perished along the death railway line and were moved post-war to this eternal resting place. Visit the world famous Bridge over the River Kwai , a part of Death Railway constructed by Allied POWs.  

12.00hrs. :  Take a long–tailed boat on River Kwai to Home Phutoey River Kwai Resort. Check–in and have Lunch upon arrival.

15.00hrs. :  Jungle trekking to visit ethnic Mon Tribal Village & Temple

17.00-18.00hrs. :  Join mocktails party at Weary Dunlop Museum .

18.00-18.30hrs. :  A mini sound and light show, tells the story of the building of the railway bridge along with the Death Railway and the Hellfire Pass that were constructed during WWII by prisoners .

19.00hrs. :  Onward - Enjoy special buffet dinner with live traditional Mon dance presentation   Overnight at Home Phutoey River Kwai 4*

Day 2 : April 25th ,  2020  :   Dawn Service – ANZAC DAY  ( B/L )

04.30hrs. :  Depart for Hellfire Pass Interpretive Centre

05.00hrs. :  Arrive at Hellfire Pass Interpretive Centre.  Walk down into Konyu Cutting

05.30-0600hrs. :  Dawn Service in Konyu Cutting  On completion of the Dawn Service in Konyu Cutting enjoy a complimentary tea / coffee with traditional ANZAC Biscuits and Bundaberg Rum at Hellfire Pass Interpretive Centre .

07.00hrs. :  Return to Resotel

08.00hrs. :  Breakfast.

11.00hrs. :  Check-out and transfer to have Lunch at local restaurant.

13.00hrs. :  Take a historic ride on Death Railway Train passing over original wooden viaduct constructed by Allied POWs

14.30hrs. :  Journey back to Bangkok.

18.00hrs. :  Arrive at Bangkok and transfer to hotels.
