ITINERARY :

DAY 1 :             ARRIVAL HANOI    ( None )      

Upon arrival in to Hanoi, you are met and transferred to your hotel. Then you are free. Overnight in Hanoi.

DAY 2 :             HANOI TOUR – LAO CAI    ( B )

The city tour brings you to visit both the old & new quarters. Some highlights are as follow: Ho Chi Minh Museum & Mausoleum (these 2 places closed every Monday & Friday), which tells the life story of the great leader, as well as serves as his final resting place.

One Pillar Pagoda, one of the oldest architectures dated back from the 11th century. It rises on a one pillar from the middle of a square lotus pond. Legend has it that Ly Thai Tong had a dream vision of Quan Am sitting on a lotus flower and promising him a male child. Thus, he had this pagoda built, itself sitting on a pond like a giant flower on its tall stem.

Continue the city tour with the Temple of Literature- the first university in Vietnam, Ethnology Museum which is a valuable centre for the exhibition and the preservation of cultural heritages of the 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam. 

Lunch at local restaurant.

Afternoon follow by visiting:

• Hoan Kiem Lake (Hoan Kiem Lake means Lake of the Restored Sword It derives its name from the legend of Lê Thái Tổ's magic sword – which was given to him by the gods to help him defeating the enermy. A golden tortoise emerged from the lake and snatched the sword from the king)
• Ngoc Son Temple (The temple is dedicated to three men who exemplify the Vietnamese ideal: the scholar, Van Xuong De Quan; the warrior, Tran Hung Dao; and the patron saint of physicians, La To)

Then you have some free time for your own exploration in Hanoi before transferring to Railway station to take overnight train to Overnight in the train.

Day 3 :             LAO CAI – SAPA – LAO CAI - TAVAN       ( B ) 

The train arrival Lao Cai at early morning, you are met and followed by a tour guide to uphill to SAPA. At an elevation of 1,500 meters, SAPA was once a hill resort of French administrators when the summer heat became unbearable. On arrival SAPA you will check in hotel and have some rest.

In the afternoon, walk down to the south east of SAPA along the side of Muong Hoa valley to Y Linh Ho village of the Black H’mong. A 2km-trekking down to Lao Chai village, through terraced rice fields to Ta Van village of the DZAY minority people. It gives you a worth chance for you to learn about the local house architecture which is full of their daily life styles and exclusive custom. Enjoy the landscapes…on the way. 

Get back to Sapa by car..and have dinner at local restaurant 

Overnight in Sapa.

Day 4 :               SAPA – FANSIPAN – TRAMTON – HEAVEN GATE – SILVER WATERFALL   ( B ) 

After breakfast at hotel, our tour guide and driver pick you up and transfer for the Silver Waterfall. The Silver Waterfall is located about a half hour from Sapa town which offers stunning views over surrounding mountains and forests belonging to Hoang Lien National Park. Afterward, we will drive to Tram Ton Pass where we will trek 30 minutes through forests. Along the way, you have chances to see wild flowers. Trekking along the Golden Stream, you will arrive at Love Waterfall. It is the biggest waterfall in Sapa and coming along with the sadness love story. Return to Tram Ton Pass - the highest pass of Vietnam for enjoying fantastic view over the valley. 

We then will be transferred to the cable car station where we will have 25 minutes travelling to Fansifan Moutain where is considered to be the most beautiful landscape of Vietnam. Back to Sapa town in the late afternoon to transfer to Lao Cai station to take overnight train to Hanoi. Overnight in the train.

DAY 5 :             ARRIVAL HANOI – HALONG OVERNIGHT ON CRUISE      ( B/L/D ) 

The train arrive Hanoi at early morning, you are met and followed by a guide tour to transfer to hotel for your refresh. 

At 08:00 our tour guide will pick you up and transfer to Halong Bay – the number one destination in Vietnam. Arriving just before lunch, you’ll embark on a traditional Vietnamese junk. Take lunch on board and enjoy the afternoon and overnight cruise as it provides you with fantastic views of the fabulous scenery blending with the sky and some 3,000 limestone islands which amazingly rise from the clear and emerald water. The limestone karst formations are littered with beaches, grottoes and beautiful caves, some of which you’ll visit.

Overnight on board in Halong Bay.

DAY 6 :             HALONG – HANOI        ( B / BRUNCH )

The tour continues with a morning spent cruising on to the Man’s Head, Tortoise islands and then Luon Cave by small bamboo boat. After brunch check out and continue to travel through Bai Tu Long to Bai Chay for disembark, meet the driver and guide to transfer you back to Hanoi.  We arrive in Hanoi in the right time to enjoy the water puppet show in the front of Hoan Kiem lake. Overnight in Hanoi.

DAY 7 :            HANOI – DEPARTURE    ( B )

Free and easy until the time to transfer to the airport to take flight back home.

• Most Museums are closed on Mondays and partly on Fridays and some public holidays.
• The Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum in Hanoi is closed every Monday and Friday and during the entire months of September and October. The Ho Chi Minh Residence in Hanoi is closed every Monday and Friday.
