Explore the significant Grand Palace – the most important shrine in the kingdom of Thailand  Located at the heart of Bangkok, Thailand, the Grand Palace was a former residence for King Rama I to King Rama V of the Rattanakosin Kingdom. Today, the place is used for hosting royal ceremonies and welcoming the king’s guests, State guests, and other foreign dignitaries. It is also a place where remains of kings and high-ranked members of the royal family were situated before cremation.

Further visit The Emerald Buddha Temple or Wat Phra Si Rattana Satsadaram  in Thai  or the Temple of the Emerald Buddha is the official name of Wat Phra Kaew, the royal monastery situated on the northeastern/ northwestern corner of the Grand Palace  . It houses the statue of Phra Phuttha Maha Mani Rattana Patimakon  (The Emerald Buddha ) and is the place where significant religious ceremonies are conducted.  This royal monastery in the precincts of the Grand Palace was one of Thailand’s first attractions introduced to the world when the tourism promotion began 50 years ago. In addition to the importance as the home of the Emerald Buddha, the architecture of various different eras is an enchanting characteristic. One of the majestic  embellishments here is the world’s longest mural painting portraying the enthralling epic of Ramayana on the compound walls.
